ABOUT MEREDITH D. RUCKER
Meet Meredith D. Rucker, a true Baldwin County native through and through. She has spent most of her life right here in this community, graduating from Fairhope High School back in 1991. From there, she made her way to Troy State University, where she had the incredible opportunity to intern in the foster care unit at the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources. Talk about hands-on experience!
After earning her degree from Troy in 1995, Meredith dove headfirst into a career focused on helping those in need. She started off as a children's case manager at the Baldwin County Mental Health Center, making a real difference in the lives of young ones. And she didn't stop there! She also worked as a case manager in the Medicaid Waiver program at the Mobile County Health Department, ensuring people got the support they deserved.
But Meredith didn't stop at helping on a personal level. She had a calling to pursue law, and she answered it. In December 1999, she proudly graduated from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. And once she passed the Alabama State Bar, her legal journey took off. In May of 2000, she began her career as an Assistant District Attorney for Baldwin County, where she fearlessly prosecuted countless cases each week, focusing on child support, juvenile delinquency, and domestic violence matters.
After her impactful time at the District Attorney's Office, Meredith continued her mission to protect and advocate for families by working as an Assistant Attorney General for the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources. Her responsibilities involved litigating custody and termination of parental rights cases. And in August 2005, she took a leap of faith and opened her own practice.
Family law and probate matters have always been at the heart of Meredith's career. With her extensive courtroom experience and unwavering dedication, she's there for her clients week after week, providing the support and guidance they need during challenging times. She truly understands the emotional weight these situations carry and is passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives.
Now, when she's not in the courtroom, you can find Meredith indulging in her love for college football (War Eagle!), exploring the waters through kayaking adventures, getting lost in a good book, or simply enjoying the company of her two furry companions, Sully and Lola.
